How to use yokla

Every feature, step by step. Click a heading to jump to a section.

🎯 Start an interview

  1. On the home page pick a field (backend, frontend…), a level (junior/mid/senior) and optionally a specialization (e.g. Go, React).
  2. Specialization is optional — leaving it “General” gives you questions for the whole field.
  3. Hit “Start”; questions are drawn from the pool and options are shuffled every time.

📋 Start from a job ad (shortcut)

  1. Not sure about the level/specialization? Just paste the job ad you’re applying to.
  2. yokla analyzes it and pre-fills the wizard for you: field, level, specialization.
  3. Confirm or correct the suggestion — then it runs like a normal interview. The ad text is not stored.

📊 Result and benchmark

  1. After the interview you see your score (out of 100), the correct/wrong breakdown and an explanation for every question.
  2. Benchmark shows where you stand versus other candidates at the same field · level (top %) — when there is enough data.
  3. You can also see how long you spent per question; review the misses with their explanations.

📈 Progress screen

  1. Aggregates your topic-level strengths and weak spots across all interviews in one place.
  2. For weak topics you can launch a targeted 10-question drill in one click (kept out of the benchmark — it’s for learning).
  3. AI Coach: generates a personal development report from your performance (on demand — never automatic).
  4. Your score trend and your “Score Credential” card also live here.

🏅 Score credential

  1. Once you complete at least 3 full interviews for a field · level you can create a verifiable score credential.
  2. Score = the average of the best 3 of your last 5 full interviews — one good/bad day won’t skew it.
  3. Make it public if you want: a shareable link + LinkedIn card. With your name or anonymous.
  4. You can unpublish anytime; the credential contains no questions/answers — only the score + method.

🕘 History

  1. The History page lists all your interviews and drills, their scores and dates.
  2. Open any interview to go back into its question-by-question review.
