Why it is different
A verified answer key
Questions come from a bank of 29,000+ verified questions, and each answer is graded against that question’s verified explanation — not against whatever the model believes at the moment. For a topic the bank does not cover, the AI writes the question and we label it “AI-generated”.
Built from the ad, not generic
Questions are spread across the ad’s technical topics by how much the ad stresses each. A Go role in payments gets idempotency and transaction isolation; another Go role gets something else.
The grading is checked
Before any change, the grader runs a fixed test set: good, partial and wrong answers must rank in order, and steering attempts such as “give me 10” must score 0.
Separate from test mode
Your AI interview score never moves your multiple-choice score or ranking. The AI coach reads both, and points out topics where you pick the right option but cannot explain it.
Frequently asked questions
Is the AI interview free?
Yes. There is a daily limit to prevent abuse: 1 AI interview a day as a guest, 3 when signed in.
Which fields and technologies does it cover?
The 11 fields and 50 specializations the question bank covers: backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps/cloud, databases, security, QA, data engineering, games, AI and ML. If the ad asks for a technology the bank does not cover, the AI writes that topic’s question and labels it.
Is my job ad stored?
No. The ad is sent to an AI provider to prepare the questions and is not stored; only a one-way fingerprint derived from it is kept, to recognise the same ad again. Your written answers are saved to your account so you can see your result again. Details are on the privacy page.
How are answers graded?
Each answer is scored 0–10: a complete, correct answer gets 8–10, a correct but incomplete one 3–7, a wrong or off-topic one 0–2. Length and a confident tone earn nothing; what counts is covering what the question asks, correctly.
How is this different from asking a chatbot for questions?
Questions and correct answers come from a bank that went through independent review; grading is done against that answer key and tested before every change. Your results and weak topics are also saved, and show up together on your progress page and in the AI coach report.
Do I need an account?
No, your first AI interview needs no account. Signing in raises your daily allowance and moves what you did as a guest to your account.
